The alarm clock was blasting Super Mario music into Flux' ears and he instantly rose up from bed. He woke up Devon Miles who had been sleeping at his place for the night and after tanking some coffee and doing final appartment cleansing, the two VJs left to fRED to pack all the electronics and stuff into the Audi. Bram was already there and they took off with only half an hour delay behind their schedule.

Arrived at Berlin Wannsee, the team met MoGreens and Soni Riot's Anna. Most of the equipment got crammed into MoGreen's van and the road-trip was ready to start. Bram and MoGreen took off towards the Autobahn and the others drove through the winterly forest in the morning sun to Potsdam because they had to drop off some camping mat leftovers from the AVIT conference.



The Autobahn was quite stuffed with trucks who constantly blocked the left lane during their crazy overtaking maneuvers, but the trip was quite nice and very varied with apocalyptic rain storms, traffic jams, bavarian racers passing with 200kmph, pee, cigarette and coffee stops but eventually the Audi and VW van rejoined and the convoi continued towards Utrecht.



Around six pm they reached the city of Utrecht, a scene dominated by very modern glassy bank buildings and huge tenements. Hundreds of business people and students crossed the streets with their famous bicycles and the convoi reached the old city center where they met Willem-Jan at whose place they would stay during the next three nights. =ff= and Bram would stay there while MoGreens, Devon Miles and Anna were supposed to stay at the home of Claudia, our local VJ club host.

After moving all the stuff into the place, Bram and his german VJ tourists went into the old city center, dominated by the small grachts and the beautiful dutch architecture. Some loads of ultragreasy fries, kroketts and fritatten later, a few cuddly bars were explored and the local "bavaria" beer was examined thoroughly. Kurt Cobain's alleged sweatshirt and guitar got adequately worshipped with even more beer at the stairway to heaven and our group ended up in a small actors café to have some final beers before they went back to their home through the rain, passing by depressing scenes of over(ab)used and exhausted whores sitting in their red lighted display cabinets watching TV or telephoning.



=ff=, Bram and Willem-Jan closed the evening by nerding around on their computers, exchanging YouTube links, discussing VDMX5, pulling some strings in Jitter, and eventually everyone went to bed relatively early.
